Our client is looking for a Quality Inspector with a mechanicalengineering background to join their long established company on an ongoing temporarybasis!!
An experienced mechanical inspector who has a good understanding of mechanical principles, to inspect internal and external components and assemblies.
THIS PERSON MUST HAVE INSPECTION EXPERIENCE OF MACHINED PARTS, FABRICATIONS AND WELDS.
Inspect all necessary components made internally and externally ensuring they have been manufactured to the correct level of quality, including fabrications, machined parts and purchased components
Final inspection of machines
Document quality issues via companynon-conformance system, quarantine non-conforming parts, implement corrective and preventative actions and track cost of quality
Managenon-conformance system, including validation of NCs entered by others and ensuring NCs are closed out satisfactorily
Assist with the review of suppliers
Complete inspection reports for critical components
Ensure that spare parts are inspected without impacting the part lead time
Support the development of a robust quality system
Organising the calibration of measuring equipment & maintain records
To be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures including feeding back any H&S information to management
